I blogged about this recently: I'm just sick of Bush, sick of Republicans and sick of watching the rest of the world, of which I'm a member, get treated like crap by a presidency which just wants to run roughshod over the planet. Go Obama! Interesting side point: in a lot of ways, by Australian standards, America doesn't have a left-wing party. The Democrats are more akin to what we call small-l liberals (Liberals being our right-wing party) - small-l's are basically Liberals with an eye on social policy. Americans just seem to be more obssessed with right-wing economics than over here. I’m Australian, but I’m gonna be tuned in to the US election. I am a Canadian fully in support of Obama being the next POTUS. You had two fantastic Democratic candidates running this year, and it was great to see that whoever won the primaries, the country would be in good hands should they win the Presidency. I just want to say- "are we ready for another white republican to come in here and continue to screw us all?" Who cares about the race of the person or gender?- policy is policy. But I think you can tell a lot about a person in how they say it in as much as what they say. At the end of the day, I just don't believe her. I think she has something to prove to her husband, her father, and herself; and I don't think she should do it with my healthcare, income, (imaginary) mortgage, or social security.
